Lovers of the Red Sky tells the story of a kingdom that is in a state of crisis because it is cursed by the devil.
In the world, there are 3 gods who protect humans. The god of birth (Namsin), the god of death, and the god who balances the two. But one day, the god of death preys on the god of balance.
Since then births and deaths have occurred unequally.
One day a wife who was heavily pregnant prayed that her husband would finish painting the king. The painting was used to confine the demon.
But suddenly her stomach was very sick and she gave birth alone in the middle of the forest. After giving birth, there was a group of dogs trying to get close to her. She prayed and asked Namsin to save the baby.
Namsin came on time, but the evil of the devil blinded the baby. She was given the name Cheon Gi.
While in the kingdom all are struggling to move the devil in the king's body. The angry devil swore that the kingdom would be hit by endless droughts and famines.
Moreover, their descendants will not be able to paint anymore.
While another baby was born from a noble family of Ha. he was named Ha Ram.
After 9 years, the kingdom was hit by a drought and it had not rained for a long time. Everyone is getting weaker and sicker.
One day the royal shaman saw a child who could predict the presence of water. She secretly followed him and it turned out that he was Master Ha Sung Jin's son.
The royal shaman met Master Ha and intended to pick up his son. She said that the child was born with the energy of water and could save a drought-ridden kingdom but Master Ha was furious.
As the royal entourage marched with Ram, master Ha felt demonic energy. He pushed the body to bounce.
Apparently the guards recognized the man named Hong Eun O.
He also invites Eun O and Cheon Gi to Seongjucheong.
The palace shaman told the king that she had found a descendant of the water god who would be sacrificed in the rain summoning ritual.
The king was angry and rejected the existence of a life that was sacrificed.
He ordered that no lives should be lost during the ritual. All submit to the king's decision. But the palace shaman will secretly still sacrifice Ram's life.
During the rain summoning ritual, the prince secretly went to the painting site. He burned the painting and set the demons free again.
Meanwhile, Ah Ram who sacrificed himself for the sake of many people suddenly drowned. In the water, Namsin helps him so that the devil in his body does not reside.
It takes its greatest energy, which is vision for a certain time.
Then Namsin transfers the vision to Cheon Gi who will save the world.
